Moheen Ekhon
Moheen Ekhon O Bandhura is the one and only Bangla band that follows the philosophy and day to day life music of Moheener Ghoraguli that bridges the common code of music, a performing art.
Right from 1970’s a musical journey of Moheener Ghoraguli is still flowing generation after generation. They are the icon of Moheen Ekhon O Bandhura which is the second generation and the extended part of Moheener Ghoraguli.
The band started their journey in 2010. They came out with albums in 2012, 2015, 2018 and 2019. They performed in number of prestigious auditorium of Presidency University, Jadavpur University, St. Xavier’s College, IIEST, Shibpur Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology and many other places in the city and outskirts.
Moheen Ekhon O Bandhura is presenting its music based on the life we live every day. They are in search of their roots, their own address, their neighbors, their mother and soil. All these reflect in their lyrics and tunes.This band is a philosophical sketch for the new generation and generation to come.
Tapas Bapi Das
Singer - Songwriter
Bapi started learning vocal music from his mother at the age of 6, appeared All India Radio, Yubobani at the age of 15. One of the founder members of Moheener Ghoraguli, the pioneer of Bangla band in 1975 and published three discs of the band in 1977, 1978 and 1979 in the capacity of lyricist, vocalist, composure and rhythm guitarist. Contributed lyrics and tunes in many films and non-film cassettes and CDs.
The legendary artist is now the front liner of Moheen Ekhon O Bandhura.
